Yalta and Alupka — among the Crimean cities recognized as the best in the quality of the urban environment

The Ministry of Construction of Russia calculated the urban environmental quality index among 1,116 settlements in the country for 2024
The share of cities with a favorable environment amounted to 82.4% — their number reached 920 and exceeded the indicator of the year before last by 161.
Behind all calculations are specific parks, squares, alleys, embankments, public spaces and courtyards, through which the townspeople walk or pass daily. The general appearance of a particular city,-quoted the press service of the administration of Yalta Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullina.
Indicators demonstrate positive dynamics and efficiency of work to improve the urban environment, increase the number of green areas, introduce innovative solutions into landscaping projects and increasing the availability of the environment for low -mobility.
According to the results of 2024, the average value of the urban environmental quality index in the Republic of Crimea was 221 points, which was 19 points more planned and 27 points larger than last year. And when compared with 2019, the index has risen by 35%— emphasized the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.
Among the 13 Crimean municipalities: Alupka, Alushta, Armyansk, Bakhchisaray, Evpatoria, Kerch, Krasnoperekopsk, Saki, Simferopol, Sudak, Feodosia, Shchelkino, Yalta.
The calculation of the quality of the urban environment was carried out by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation on the basis of data obtained from the regions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Rospotrebnadzor, Rosstat and the Institute for Development Dom.rf.
