Yalta Cave on Mount Ai-Petri is reopened to the public

After winter conservation on the Ai-Petri Yaila, one of the equipped caves, the Yalta cave, was opened for tourists. The novelty of this season was a paleontological exhibition, which was arranged right in the underground space, the press service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Reserved Crimea» reported.
The most accessible and largest of the panoramic caves found on Ai-Petri — Yalta — again welcomes visitors. The underworld is famous for its rich sinter decoration and a small lake with drinking water. The facility is located near the upper station of the Miskhor — Ai-Petri cable car. This year, in addition to the natural beauty of the cave, tourists will see a small paleontological exposition of Jurassic fossils from the Yalta Paleo Museum of Valentin Verbitskysays Tourist portal of Crimea.
To get here on an excursion, you first need to issue a pass to the territory of the Yalta Mountain and Forest Reserve on «Reserved Crimea» website. This is done quickly.
There are two ways to purchase tickets:
— pay for the entrance ticket and excursion on the site;
— purchase an entrance ticket at one of the ticket offices: at the beginning of the route «To the teeth of Ai-Petri» or at the Uchan-Su waterfall.
Buying an adult ticket for an excursion to the underground kingdom for 400 rubles, you get the right to visit all permitted routes of the Yalta Mountain and Forest Reserve for 1 day. These are 21 tourist trails and objects, including the Taraktash trail, the Romanov road, the Devil’s Staircase, the Ai-Petri view teeth, the Turquoise Lake, the Pallas pine.
The cost of a preferential visit is 200 rubles for persons with permanent registration in the Crimea, for pensioners of the Russian Federation, for children from 7 to 16 years old. To confirm the benefits, you must present the appropriate document.
The list of categories that are entitled to free entry to the Yaltinskaya cave and entry permission is issued Here. The Federal State Budgetary Institution «Reserved Crimea» emphasizes that registration is available only on the website of the institution and is valid only upon presentation of a document confirming the benefit.
It is now possible to get to the Yaltinskaya cave on the Ai-Petri mountain plateau only by private car or taxi. Three trails to the top are available for lovers of hiking: Botkinskaya, Taraktashskaya, Koreizskaya. The cableway «Miskhor — Ai-Petri» is temporarily out of service.
