Twice a year, we honest Yalta with particular tenderness: dedicated and at home in April, when she gained the status of the city, and in August-along with our guests. This year, the main festive events traditionally took place on Saturday in the city center, as well as on Lake Vasilievsky, where an extensive family program with master classes, sports relayers and other activity was organized by the forces of the city teenage and youth center. Considering that on the same Saturday the day of the physical education center was also celebrated, mass charging took place at the Avangard stadium. Also traditionally, on the City Day, Yalta and guests of the resort could visit municipal museums for free-to plunge into the world of miracles in the «clearing of fairy tales» or get acquainted with the rich heritage of the city in the historical and literary museum.

The city celebrates its birthday! We sincerely congratulate all residents and guests of Yalta! The administration and the Yalta City Council prepared many surprises. For example, walking along the embankment, guests of the holiday will be able to see a theatrical trip on the history of Crimea — from the era of Catherine the Great to the present day — The deputy head of the city administration of Yalta Renard Kutkovsky emphasized, opening the culmination, evening part of the city day.

On the Sovetskaya Square, the Symphony Orchestra of the Stupino Philharmonic, under the leadership of the Honored Artist of the Moscow Region Dmitry Tarasov, and with the participation of soloists of Russia — Honored Artist of Russia Edward Odorov, as well as Peter Kislizanov, Yulia Saponova, Kirill Stark, presented the Sovetskaya Square. In the cinema «Saturn», the premiere of Sergei Sardyko’s documentary “Yalta of the artist Bocharov” was held, in front of which the main character of the picture, the honorary citizen of Yalta Sergey Bocharov held a creative mini-meeting with the audience and answered the questions that interest them. In the film itself, the artist through his paintings reveals his love for Yalta, unique nature, and of course — to residents of both the past and the present. In the evening, on Sovetskaya Square, another concert of the Symphony Orchestra of the Stupinsky Philharmonic took place. This time they sounded a patriotic orientation, melodies and songs from films, as well as compositions of the Soviet and Russian pop.
