On May 19, more than 160 Russian residents from 85 cities took part in the VIII All-Russian Half Marathon “ZaBeg. RF». Professional athletes and amateur runners covered distances of 1 km, 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km. The youngest runners are 6 years old, and the oldest are over 60 years old. It is noteworthy that this is the largest half-marathon with a synchronized start in the entire country!
More than 1000 people came to Yalta to participate in the race! In Yalta “Run. RF» is held for the third time. I am sure that the number of participants will increase every year! I thank the head of the half marathon organizing committee «Zabeg.RF«- Ksenia Shoigu for promoting and popularizing the running movement in the Republic of Crimea and the Russian Federation as a whole!— the press service of the Yalta City Council quotes the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea Olga Torubarova.
The head of the municipality of the Yalta city district — the chairman of the Yalta City Council, Konstantin Shimanovsky, took part in the race for the second year in a row.
This time I ran 5 km in 32 minutes and 45 seconds. I think this is a good result, but I still have something to strive for. I’m glad to see people of different ages here: from preschoolers to retirees. Running is a great opportunity to keep yourself in good physical shape. Sport unites! Always be sporty and lead a healthy lifestyle, — emphasizes Konstantin Shimanovsky.
The sporting event ended with an awards ceremony.
