Yalta is among the leading Russian cities in improvement
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Yalta is among the leaders among Russian cities in terms of amenities. This is evidenced by the data of the VEB.RF Quality of Life Index.
Almost 92% of residents consider Yalta beautiful and well-groomed, 97.6% are satisfied with how the city is being transformed. Yalta residents rate the quality of air and water, as well as the work of waste removal services, at 4.5 points out of 5.
More than half of Yalta residents (53.9%) positively note the authorities’ efforts to protect the environment. In general, the level of improvement of Yalta in the VEB.RF Quality of Life Index is estimated at 76.68 points, which is higher than the average for cities of 55.46.
Yalta residents are also satisfied with their living conditions and work. About 20% of respondents work remotely. Many residents of Yalta work on scientific publications — their number per year (27.44 units per 10 thousand people) is three times higher than the average for Index cities.
Along with “Improvement”, Yalta demonstrates confident results in a number of groups of indicators that are important for both local residents and guests of the resort city. These are, for example, “Natural and ecological conditions”, opportunities for organizing recreation and spending free time. It is important that the Index indicators are formed both by objective data and the results of surveys of citizens. We record requests for analytics both from managers — to assess the effects of projects and programs, and from business — for example, during the initial examination of potentially promising areasnotes Chief Managing Director of VEB.RF Andrey Samokhin.
The VEB.RF index is calculated for 218 largest cities in Russia, with the exception of two capitals, using more than 300 indicators. Users of the open analytical database are government, business and ordinary citizens.
