Yalta is among the top destinations for the best hugs

CrimeaPRESS reports:

January 21 was International Hug Day. This holiday appeared back in the eighties of the last century. Since then, medical experts have proven that hugging is good for health — not only mental, but also physical. Loving, friendly and just friendly hugs reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and promote the production of oxytocin and endorphin. They help fight stress, anxiety and fear, as well as insomnia.

In honor of International Hug Day, the Russian vacation rental booking service TVIL.RU conducted a survey on social networks: in which cities did our subscribers have the hottest hugs? Moscow came in first place, St. Petersburg came in second, and Sochi came in third.

1. Moscow was chosen by 30% of voters.* And no wonder, remember the words of the song: “I will never forget a friend if I met him in Moscow.” Moscow is not just a capital, it is a port of five seas, a city of farewells and meetings. And when people meet, what do they do? That’s right, they hug.

2. In second place is St. Petersburg, the choice of 26% of subscribers. St. Petersburg is called the city of love and romance, and what is romance without hugs? In squares, under arches, on the deck of an excursion boat and, of course, on the roofs.

3. In third place is the city of Sochi, which was liked by 24% of voting participants. If St. Petersburg is the northern capital of lovers, then Sochi, where, as is known, “dark nights,” can be called the southern capital. “A resort city a priori, a city of love forever,” that’s what the song says about it. That means it’s also a city of hugs.

4. Yalta collected 20% of the votes. How many literary heroes have fallen in love and broken up in Yalta! And our contemporaries, existing in reality, do not lag behind them. Yalta with its parks and embankments is perfect for romantic walks, conversations and hugs.

5. 16% of voting participants voted for Krasnodar. The capital of Kuban is a very beautiful city, which of course has many parks, shady alleys and cafes where you can meet and hug.

6. Vladivostok was chosen by 12% of subscribers. This is an amazingly romantic city that you can endlessly discover with your loved one. The city has its own character, its own rather complex character. But Vladivostok is a city of beautiful and huge bridges. What are bridges if not an embrace between two banks?

7. Perm was chosen by 8% of all voters. Perm is the greenest million-plus city in the country, so in the summer you can always find a tree there to hug under. Well, in winter you can always go up to the art object “Happiness is just around the corner” on the embankment and understand that the most important thing in life is very close. And hug, of course.

8. Kazan received 5% of the votes. This city also seems to be created for lovers — and there are art objects for them too. For example, a bench that will prevent two people from sitting away from each other. Or the clock on Bauman Street, where meetings and dates are arranged, for which they are called “a beacon for lovers.”

9. Kislovodsk was chosen by 3% of voters. There are many places suitable for hugs: Mount Ring, the Castle of Cunning and Love, the Ladies’ Caprice bridge. And of course, the beautiful Valley of Roses.

10. Kaliningrad collected 2% of the votes. It’s even strange that there is so little — this romantic city is always open to lovers. There is the Lovers’ Bridge, built at the beginning of the twentieth century. And the Honey Bridge, on which many locks hang — as a sign of vows of the inseparability of love. And of course the sculpture “Lovers” and the entire Amalienau region, as if created for love. Come and try it!

*The survey included multiple choice options
