What traveler doesn’t like driving fast? According to the RST, there are 42 million potential road travelers in Russia. And many of these people are ready to hit the road on the “iron horse” even in winter. TVIL estimates that the number of road travelers in December 2023 increased by 15% compared to December last year. At the same time, the average cost of a night’s accommodation in December for a car traveler increased by 19%.
The Russian hotel and apartment booking service TVIL.RU identified the most popular destinations for traveling by car in December 2020 by analyzing applications where car parking was required. Moscow is in first place with 14% of bookings by autotourists. In second place is St. Petersburg, and in third is Sochi (12% and 11% of bookings, respectively), — noted in the press service of the service.
