Yalta is among the top popular holiday destinations in Russia for the New Year

On October 23, Orthodox Christians celebrate the Day of Evlampius the Winter Guide. Interestingly, the most popular holiday destinations for the New Year and Christmas holidays have already been determined by the Winter Index. Interestingly, during the 24/25 holidays the number of bookings at Russian resorts increased by 11% compared to the same period last year. Where will our compatriots relax on New Year and Christmas?

The Russian hotel and apartment booking service TVIL.RU, based on application data, has identified the most popular vacation destinations in the period from December 27, 2024 to January 12, 2025. Sochi traditionally ranks first, collecting 15% of all New Year’s bookings. In second place, slightly behind the beach capital, is the cultural capital of St. Petersburg, and in third place is the official capital, Moscow (14% and 9% of bookings for the New Year, respectively)— reported the press service of the service.
