Yalta residents — participants in a special military operation — were awarded medals «For services to the Zaporozhye region»

Eight Crimeans who showed courage and bravery in carrying out combat missions, including residents of Yalta, received awards. According to information from the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, the medals “For Services to the Zaporozhye Region” from Governor Evgeniy Balitsky were presented at the Crimean branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation to Yalta participants in the Northern Military District.
The awards were received by volunteer soldiers who from the first days took part in a special military operation as part of an assault battalion. For military merits and provision of humanitarian assistance, my assistant, officer, member of the Northern Military District, head of the charitable foundation Combat Brotherhood «Yalta-South» Alexander Kravchenko was awarded,” the press service quotes Yanina Pavlenko.
Among those awarded was platoon commander Alexander Ivanov, who saved his colleagues at the cost of his own life. The medal was posthumously awarded to his mother, Simeiz resident Irina Anatolyevna.
My son said that it was his duty to go fight for his Motherland, just as his grandfather fought during the Great Patriotic Warsays Irina Anatolyevna.
The name of the hero will be immortalized on the monument in memory of the fallen participants of the North Military District on the Hill of Glory.
