Eight Crimeans who showed courage and bravery in carrying out combat missions, including residents of Yalta, received awards. According to information from the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, the medals “For Services to the Zaporozhye Region” from Governor Evgeniy Balitsky were presented at the Crimean branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation to Yalta participants in the Northern Military District.

The awards were received by volunteer soldiers who from the first days took part in a special military operation as part of an assault battalion.
