Yalta schoolchildren conquer scientific Olympus
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Pupils of Yalta schools made a successful debut at the All-Russian competition of project and research works «Future Lomonosovs». The competition was held in St. Petersburg. Thus:
- Veronika Sugak, a student of the 7th Kurchatov class of Yalta School-Lyceum No. 9, took 1st place in the direction of «Russian Language» (theme: «Play with words with a poem by Alexey Zaitsev»). Our young talented star has been writing poems, stories and fairy tales since early childhood, is a professional ballroom dancer, takes part in all-Russian dance championships and international poetry competitions. One of her poems was published in the collection «Beginning» in Russian and Italian. Her sincere love for literature and books was instilled in her by her talented teacher and wise mentor Elena Vasilievna Krivoshapko.
- Anna Petrol, a student of the 7th space class of Yalta school #11, took second place in the Sociology nomination with her research paper, “The World for All of Us: Autists Among Us.” Anna’s scientific supervisor is the teacher of Russian language and literature, Svetlana Vladimirovna Tkacheva, who managed to create a real research laboratory in the first space cadet class. 10 students from this class became candidates for membership in the Small Academy of Sciences “Iskatel” of the Republic of Crimea. I am convinced that Anya, like her classmates, has many victories of a cosmic scale ahead!
- Vladimir Kazmin, a pupil of Yalta Secondary School No. 4, is another lucky winner of a 2nd degree diploma in the Physics program (topic: Making a device for testing the electrical conductivity of materials). Since early childhood, the boy has been fond of modeling cars and other equipment, and participates in technical creativity competitions: I Am a Researcher, Step into Science, We Are the Pride of Crimea, Young Technicians and Intellectuals, and We Are the Pride of the Motherland. Over the past few years, he has won over 10 prizes in prestigious intellectual and research competitions. This year alone, he has won a 1st degree diploma in the Republican Step into Science competition, 2nd degree in the Republican We Are the Pride of Crimea competition, 3rd degree in the Republican Young Technicians and Intellectuals competition, and 2nd degree in the All-Russian Conference of Students Future Lomonosovs.
