You can't cut down oak trees! Another criminal case has been opened in Sevastopol

Based on the materials of the inspection of the Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office, a criminal case was opened on the fact of illegal cutting of trees. The Sevastopol Interdistrict, with the involvement of specialists from the State Budgetary Institution “Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Areas of Regional Importance of the City of Sevastopol and Forestry”, conducted an inspection of compliance with the requirements of forestry legislation.
It was established that within the Orlinovsky district forestry, in the absence of permits, 16 oak trees were cut down. The amount of damage caused to the city of Sevastopol is more than 38 thousand rubles. The environmental prosecutor’s office sent the inspection materials to the preliminary investigation body. Based on the results of their consideration, the investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Balaklava district of Sevastopol opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal logging of forest plantations). The progress of the investigation is under the control of the Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office,” reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
