The environmental prosecutor’s office of Crimea demands that violations of legislation in the field of protection of aquatic biological resources and their habitat be eliminated.

It has been established that four enterprises, when carrying out agricultural activities in the Bakhchisaray and Simferopol regions, withdraw water from the Alma, Belbek, Kacha and Kizil-Koba rivers, which is used for land reclamation. In violation of legal requirements, these activities are carried out without approval from the federal executive body in the field of fisheriesthe supervisory authority said in a statement.

Based on these facts, the environmental prosecutor initiated cases of administrative offenses against officials of enterprises, based on the results of which the perpetrators were fined. In order to eliminate the identified violations, the prosecutor made submissions to business entities that are under consideration.
