You do not pay alimony — you can lose freedom. The verdict in the Crimea

On June 27, 2025, the Simferopol District Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced the previously convicted resident of the Simferopol district, born in 1979, by 10 months in prison for repeated non -payment without good reason for the maintenance of minor children.
The specified citizen, in violation of the requirements of the law on the maintenance of the parents of his children, knowing about the obligation assigned by the court to pay alimony for the maintenance of two minor daughters, did not pay their funds for their maintenance. The total amount of his debt for two children amounted to more than 1,100,000 rubles. When resolving the issue of determining the specified person of the type of punishment, the court took into account the circumstances of the criminal case in conjunction with data characterizing the identity of the defendant, the nature and degree of public danger of the deed, the presence of mitigating and the absence of aggravating the punishment of circumstances,-the press service of the court said.
The convict will serve his sentence in a penal colony of general regime.
The verdict comes into force after 15 days from the date of its proclamation, if it was not appealed by the parties within the specified period.
