Young Crimean classic wrestlers won nine medals at the tournament in Gelendzhik

In Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Territory, the XIX Open tournament of the municipal formation of the resort city of Gelendzhik in Greco-Roman wrestling was held among young men of three age categories (2008-2009, 2010-2012 and 2013-2014) for the prizes of a 5-time world champion, Olympic champion Nikolai Balboshin.

More than 300 athletes from the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Adygea and Rostov region took part in the competition. A total of 19 sets of awards were raffled off. Crimeans have 9 medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze)— reports «Crimean sport».

In children’s competitions 2010-2012. r. The winners in their weight categories were Artem Kostel from Sudak (up to 41 kg) and Emil Bayzakov from Maryanovka, Krasnogvardeisky district (up to 57 kg). “Silver” – from Alushta Artem Zhdan (up to 75 kg), “bronze” – from Osman Menbariev (up to 32 kg) and Sinover Yakubov (up to 38 kg), both from Maryanovka, Krasnogvardeisky district, from Alushta Suleiman Inzhiev (up to 48 kg) and Anton Zhdan (up to 85 kg).

Two more bronze medals in wrestling competitions in 2013-2014. r. took Alexey Gorenko and Matvey Zhevel (both in weight up to 29 kg, Maryanovka, Krasnogvardeisky district).
