A court hearing in a criminal case against two local residents has ended in Simferopol. They were found guilty under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft), part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional damage to someone else’s property).
The court found that the young people agreed to jointly steal a car. They entered a VAZ 2107 car parked on the street. Radishchev, breaking the glass, driving about three meters on it. In order to hide traces of the crime, the attackers set fire to the car, causing damage to the owner in the amount of more than 100 thousand rubles. Subsequently, young people, out of hooligan motives, set fire to Opel Astra and VAZ 21124 cars parked on the same street— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The defendants pleaded guilty. The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the defendants to 3 and 4 years in prison, respectively, to be served in a high-security correctional colony.
