“Your brother” from Sevastopol was detained for discrediting the Russian army
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, police detained a local resident for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and volunteers participating in the Northern Military District.
While monitoring instant messengers and social networks, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol drew attention to the comments of one of the users in the thematic Internet community. His statements were in the public domain and were aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as volunteer formations performing combat missions in the zone of a special military operation in Ukraine— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Comments from a user under the nickname “Your brother” (watch the video) seemed to hint that a Ukrainian provocateur was working, but the “activist” turned out to be… with Sevastopol registration.
As a result of the activities carried out, the police, together with colleagues from the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, with the force support of the Sokol SOBR of the Russian Guard, identified and detained the offender. He turned out to be a 26-year-old resident of Sevastopol, who confessed to his crime.
An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the young man under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain peace and security, or exercise state bodies of the Russian Federation their powers for these purposes”— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles. In the near future, the materials collected by the police will be submitted to the court for consideration on the merits.
