Youth labor landing party for cleaning and improvement of WWII monuments started in Crimea

In Simferopol, in the Victory Square at the memorial «Tank-Monument to the Liberators of Simferopol», the grand opening of the Republican patriotic action «Victory Troops of the North Ossetia» took place as part of the All-Russian patriotic action «Let’s Bow to Those Great Years».

The action will be held from March 25 to April 2 at the initiative of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Student Groups with the support of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Crimea, the city administration of Simferopol, the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky, Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov.

The Victory Troopers are aimed at holding volunteer events to improve the monuments of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, helping the elderly, home front workers, children and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, conducting open lessons about the events of the Great Patriotic War in schools, in particular, about the events of the Crimean offensive operation of 1944 and the liberation of Crimea from the Nazi invaders, as well as the promotion of volunteerism and labor activity among school and student youth.

Among all youth public projects, there are those that are forever behindfall into the heart. And within the framework of the Russian student detachments, this is certainly the “Victory Landing Force”. In addition to the fact that these projects make the face of the public association that implements it, this is a project with a deep meaning. It’s not just about ecology and volunteeringOh, this is according to our patriotism, history and culture. This is what unites the youth of the entire Republic of Crimea, regardless of age and membership in public associations. This is what unites us Crimeans, and they know for sure that prosperity lies in unity.

I wish the fighters good luck, we will definitely meet in the municipalities and join the implementation by the State Committee, — notes the chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea Alexei Zinchenko.

This year, the patriotic action will unite 10 detachments with a total number of 450 students who study in Armyansk, Yalta, Simferopol. Student teams will improve 22 monuments of the Great Patriotic War, students will put in order 10 mass graves and 3 parks of military glory in the Crimea. For nine days, the guys will work in the cities of Simferopol, Alushta, Armyansk, Kerch, Evpatoria, Dzhankoy, as well as in the Simferopol region, Nizhnegorsk region, Dzhankoy region, Pervomaisky region, Leninsky region and Kirovsky region.

At the grand opening, according to the tradition of volunteer labor landings of the RSO, all detachments received permits and were assigned to work sites. So on the first day of the Victory Landing, volunteers worked in the village. The pearl of the Nizhnegorsk region, where on the Alley of Memory of Children — Heroes of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. carried out work on the improvement of the alley and the arrangement of paths in the square of the same name. Memorial trees were also planted by the participants of the action.

Students will be able to actually show respect for the past of our country, convey and nurture love for our Motherland among the younger generation.
