Youth literary festival “I ask for words” took place in Crimea

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the final of the XII youth literary festival “I Ask for the Word” took place in the Crimean Republican Library for Youth.
The event was solemnly opened and made a welcoming speech on behalf of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina by First Deputy Minister Olga Burova, noting that the creation in the library of a favorable environment for positive self-realization, creative development and socialization of youth is a priority activity of modern libraries. This direction can be implemented by holding literary competitions that help identify and develop abilities and talents in poetry and prose among Crimean youth.
Every year, the literary festival “I Ask for the Word” reveals not only new names of young, talented authors, but also provides an opportunity to find your audience of readers, receive parting words and advice from already famous writers and poets, cultural figures and artists.
The chairman of the jury and director of the Crimean Library for Youth, Anna Podshivalova, also addressed the participants and guests.
Among the jury members were Marina Polyakova, a member of the board of the Union of Writers of Crimea, poet, prose writer, laureate and diploma winner of international and all-Russian competitions, organizer and member of the jury of the All-Russian festival “Seventh Heaven”, Sergei Minchik – candidate of philological sciences, famous TV presenter, Alexandra Karnovich – TV presenter of the channel «First Crimean», winner in the nomination «Journalist of the Year: Television — 2021», Mikhail Gladchuk — poet, member of the Youth Branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, Veronika Gafarova — poet, organizer, art manager and presenter of creative events, author of three poetry collections .
The winners in the category “The lyre was given to me for this purpose” were: first place – Regina Charlie John (Simferopol), second place – Ksenia Semenikhina (Kerch), third place – Albina Fandikova (village of Yarkoe Pole, Dzhankoy district).
In the category “Triumph of a short story” the prizes were taken by: first place — Alena Ivankova (Evpatoria), second place — Ekaterina Goldeftor (Evpatoria), third place — Diyorakhon Sayodzhon Matkarimova (Simferopol) and Alie Suyunova (village). Orekhovo Saki district). Natalya Lis (Sevastopol) was awarded in the category “Through the heat of the soul, through the cool of the mind.”
A special prize from the Crimean Republican Library for Youth was awarded to Olga Kontributs (Simferopol). The jury members presented prizes on their behalf to those whose work left a deep impression on them.
The literary festival was graced by a bright performance by the Crimean poet and musician Nina Berezhnaya. Also, a literary quiz “Have you read?” was held for those present, the participants of which showed extraordinary erudition and the will to win.
