Yuri Gotsanyuk about rescuers: “This is a noble and responsible work that requires courage, boldness and bravery”

Comment from the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk on Rescuer Day of the Russian Federation:

December 27 is Rescuer Day of the Russian Federation. I congratulate the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea on their professional holiday.

This is a noble and responsible work that requires courage, bravery, and the ability to make the right decisions in extreme situations.

From 2014 to 2023, 70 emergencies occurred in the republic, including 11 this year.

As a result of the prompt, coordinated actions of all rescue structures, the tasks to eliminate the consequences of the emergency were completed in full and in the shortest possible time.

Thanks to a set of measures taken to prevent emergency situations, in 2023 the number of deaths in fires decreased by 25%, and in water — by 15%.

During the liquidation of fires, more than 110 people were rescued by units of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea» and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea. The republic’s property worth more than 150 million rubles was preserved.

Work continues on the technical re-equipment of the department, modern emergency rescue equipment and equipment are being purchased, digital technologies are being introduced, and the level of employee training is increasing.

On behalf of the Head of the Republic of Crimea, the construction of a new fire station in the village is being completed. Berezovka, Razdolnensky district, which will ensure the safety of citizens in this area.
