Yuri Gotsanyuk: “The agro-industrial complex is one of the basic sectors of the Crimean economy”

The agro-industrial complex is one of the basic sectors of the Crimean economy, on the work of which the food security of the region, the stability of the domestic market, the quality and competitiveness of products depend. Commentary by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk on the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers.
Thanks to state support, the Crimean agricultural industry is actively developing. This year, 3.1 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes, of which 70% has already been transferred to agricultural producers. Over the past 8 years, 57 investment agreements have been signed in the agricultural sector. It is expected that the volume of capital investments will amount to almost 25 billion rubles, and the number of permanent jobs will be 3,151, and seasonal jobs will be 1,598. As part of the preferential lending program, 52 short-term loans worth 3.6 billion rubles have been agreed upon. and 20 investment ones – for 2.3 billion.
In Crimea, 596 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops were harvested, 2 million 279 thousand tons were threshed. 47 thousand tons of fruits and berries, more than 18 thousand tons of potatoes, 70 thousand tons of vegetables were collected.
Almost 156 hectares of perennial fruit plantings and 863 hectares of vineyards have been planted. Indicators for processing and canning of meat and meat products increased by 100.8%, fruits and vegetables by 42.5%, the production of vegetable and animal oils and fats by 27.3%, and dairy products by 26.2%.
LLC «Fruits of Old Crimea» completed the construction of a fruit storage facility with a capacity of 16 thousand tons, and the fourth stage of construction with a capacity of 7.5 thousand tons was put into operation. Agricultural equipment is being updated and modernized.
Since the beginning of the year, agricultural producers have purchased 456 units of machinery and equipment worth more than 2 billion rubles.
