Yuri Gotsanyuk: “The republic has achieved self-sufficiency in wheat, pork, fruits and vegetables”

The volume of state support for the Crimean agricultural industry this year will amount to 2.7 billion rubles. Despite difficult weather and climatic conditions, the harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 1.5 million tonssaid the Chairman of the Government.

He also noted that thanks to budgetary support and high organization of labor, the republic has achieved self-sufficiency in the production of wheat, pork, fruits and a number of vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and onions.

Harvesting of fruit and berry products continues in the republic, and according to forecasts, the gross harvest will be about 188 thousand tons. This year, more than 1.6 thousand hectares of young orchards and vineyards will be planted.

The industry is undergoing technical re-equipment: more than 300 units have been purchased this year. agricultural machinery and equipment. A positive effect on increasing the acreage and development of the industry is expected due to the phased introduction into circulation of 125 thousand hectares of unused farmland, – emphasizes Yuri Gotsanyuk.

Touching upon the issue of prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex, the Prime Minister noted that within the framework of the national goal “Sustainable and dynamic economy”, by 2030 the volume of agricultural production will increase by 25% compared to 2021, including the production of grains — by 42.5%, oilseeds crops — by 54.5%, and fruits and berries — by 110 thousand tons or 67%. It is also planned to increase the volume of livestock production by increasing livestock productivity.
