200 RSO volunteers took part in the cleanup on the territory of the Yalta Mountain Forest Reserve
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the territory of the Yalta Mountain Forest Reserve, on the initiative of Russian student teams and with the support of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Reserved Crimea», an environmental cleanup was held. The cleanup event was attended by 200 student brigades from the Republic of Crimea and other regions of our country, who came to the All-Russian Environmental Forum of student brigades “EcoTOP”. Activists cleaned the area adjacent to the upper station of the cable car on Ai-Petri. For a long time, there were buildings here that disrupted the operation of the reserve: trade tents, temporary buildings for the provision of public catering services, etc. After their demolition, trash remained on the site where they were located, which volunteers from student environmental groups helped remove.
It has already become a good tradition for student teams of the Republic of Crimea to hold environmental actions and cleanup days in the spring. Just recently we went to the Opuksky Nature Reserve, and today we are working in the Yalta Mountain Forest Reserve. Together with the directorate of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Reserved Crimea”, we pay special attention to environmental educational work and volunteer activities. Through environmental cleanup days, student labor teams are united into teams that subsequently work on labor projects during the summer in the systems of children’s health, agriculture, service and hospitality. We hope that in the near future, thanks to such actions, our guys will also be able to work in the field of ecology and nature conservation. In cooperation with “Reserved Crimea” we see prospects for the formation and development of student environmental labor groups to work in the summer in specially protected natural areas– said the head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups, Vladimir Kaidansky.
Environmental campaigns have been held in specially protected natural areas of Crimea for several years now. But often this work is carried out within the framework of volunteer activities and is episodic in nature. To date The Federal State Budgetary Institution “Reserve Crimea” organizes its work in such a way that the attraction of volunteers is systematic. Volunteers who have demonstrated themselves more than once in environmental actions are invited as employees to carry out labor activities in specially protected natural areas, – says Acting Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Reserved Crimea” Artur Murzakhanov.
