A 22-year-old Crimean became a pawnbroker, but not for long. In the colony he will learn new professions

In the Simferopol region, a local resident will stand trial for attempted sale of synthetic drugs. As reported by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea, a 22-year-old Crimean became a member of a criminal group engaged in the illegal sale of narcotic drugs in the territory of the Republic of Crimea via the Internet.

In September 2023, a man illegally purchased the drug N-methylephedrone weighing more than 11 g, which he subsequently intended to sell in a non-contact manner. The actions of the young man were stopped by employees of the internal affairs bodies— reported the prosecutor’s office.

With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Simferopol District Court for consideration on the merits. According to Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “d”, part 4, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted sale of a narcotic drug on a large scale using the Internet), the pawnbroker faces serious punishment — up to 20 years in prison.
