In the branch of the Nakhimov Naval (Sevastopol Presidential Cadet) School, the competition-festival on underwater robotics «MasterROV» has started. In Sevastopol, teams of pre-university educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sevastopol classes and corps accountable to law enforcement agencies, as well as students from youth-patriotic clubs and city centers compete.
Before the start of the competition, its participants laid wreaths at the Memorial on the Alley of Heroes in the Sevastopol Victory Park. During the festival, the teams will go through 3 stages of testing for controlling underwater drones, passing an underwater obstacle course and completing tasks for speed.
For the participants, a master class will be organized at the Navy Training Center, which trains diving specialists, they will get acquainted with the exhibits of diving equipment and ocean technology, there will be excursions to museums and places of military glory, friendly sports meetings— noted in the press service of the Southern Military District.
The closing ceremony of the competition, the announcement and awarding of the winners, will take place on June 7.
