A competition has started to develop a design for the medal “80 years of the liberation of Sevastopol from fascist invaders”; it will last until March 4, 2024. The competition is organized by the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The competition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the most important historical event — the liberation of Sevastopol from the fascist invaders (05/09/1944).

Citizens of the Russian Federation can take part personally or as part of teams of authors.

To participate you need:

• draw a sketch of a medal;
• fill out an application for participation in the competition using the form (FORM);
• fill out and sign consent to the processing of personal data (AGREEMENT);
• describe a sketch justifying the use of certain symbols, the value and semantic content of the design elements of the medal, its name, material of manufacture, and estimated cost.

The description should not contain more than 500 characters. These documents, along with a sketch of the medal, must be sent to the email address: dtszn@sev.gov.ru before March 4, 2024.

Main criteria for evaluating a sketch:

• originality of solutions;
• high artistic expressiveness and aesthetic appearance;
• correspondence of the medal to the theme of the competition.

The commission evaluates the medal design using a point system from one to ten in accordance with the criteria. Based on the results of the evaluation of the competition materials, the commission will determine the winner with the most points. Next, the winner of the competition, together with a professional designer, will prepare the final version of the medal layout for its production.
