Today, on the basis of the library. L. N. Tolstoy passed a marathon of master classes in painting and needlework «Merry Spindle». This is the final event of the third Forum of the Russian Language and Culture «The Great Russian Word». More than 80 Sevastopol residents took part in it. The participants of the marathon tried their hand at various types of needlework and painting techniques. With their own hands they created stucco paintings, voluminous pages for a tactile book, got acquainted with the techniques of felting things from wool, weaving from paper vines, as well as watercolor painting based on Russian fairy tales. In addition, the children learned how to paint gingerbread and, of course, tasted a traditional Russian treat.
Today is the final day of the forum, which we are holding on the birthday of the great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin. For the younger generation, we have prepared a variety of master classes so that through creativity, the guys can join the great Russian culture. The Russian language is multinational, it unites all the peoples of Russia. The participants of the marathon were especially interested in a master class on creating tactile handicraft books for blind and visually impaired children. Everyone, under the guidance of an experienced mentor, learned how to make elements of future books.
Today, together with the participants of the master class, we are creating special tactile books that will help acquaint visually impaired and blind children with literature and the Russian language. With the help of three-dimensional pictures and three-dimensional figures, they will be able to learn new concepts about the world, and large text on the back of the page will help them learn to read or get acquainted with Russian literature and new concepts if their parents read it to them.— notes the specialist of the central city library Daria Skochko.
Recall that the Great Russian Word Forum of the Russian Language and Culture started in Sevastopol on June 4. The Lukomorye Ecopark hosted the Festival of National Cultural Societies of Sevastopol “Mother tongue is the soul of the people”. More than 10 nationalities presented the guests the cultural wealth of their peoples — folklore and choreographic performances. And on the basis of SevGU on June 5, the third Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference was held, dedicated to the Russian language, its preservation and development.
