A negligent Crimean will appear in court for repeated drunk driving
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Pervomaisky district prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a previously convicted local resident. The careless Crimean is accused under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person who is intoxicated and has a criminal record for a similar crime).
The court found that the man, having a criminal record for driving while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and in November last year, after drinking alcohol, he again began driving a ZAZ car. Moving along one of the streets in the village of Stepnoy, Pervomaisky district, the convict was stopped by traffic police officers, the results of a medical examination confirmed the fact that he was intoxicated— said the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Pervomaisky District Court for consideration on the merits. The range of punishment is wide: from a half-million fine to 3 years in prison. And yes, you will also have to say goodbye to your faithful “Slavuta”.
