A new season of sports tourism competitions has started in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol school No. 014 the first competitions in walking disciplines were held among children and youth aged 8 years to of the year. Distances of «Epiphany frosts» were overcome by a hundred people.
The competitions were held within the framework of Maria Dobrydina’s grant project «Tourism is a sport for all». Maria received about 500 thousand rubles for its implementation: she won the competition «Rosmolodezh .Grants”, which was held in September 729 at the regional forum “Youth 92), and also received co-financing in the framework of the competition of volunteer projects of the Department of Youth and Sports.
During the 2023 year, within the framework of the project, competitions in sports tourism will be held in the gym, in the natural environment and on artificial terrain, training classes, seminars and official sports competitions.
We are actively creating specialized sites for sports tourism not only in schools, but also at other facilities — for example, we are currently modernizing the Center for Tourism, Local History, Sports and Excursions for Young Students. The creation of such sites will allow us to unite schoolchildren and young people in the framework of additional education, including the development of sports tourism , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Vice Governor Igor Mikheev.
In addition to the participants, a team of judges worked on the site, who followed the guys at all stages of the distance. The timekeepers were responsible for the time cuts, on which the results directly depend. The well-coordinated work of the team made it possible to quickly identify violators of the rules and send them to the stage again.
Teams from the Sevastopol Tourism Center, Balaklava House of Creativity, Gymnasium No. 18, and there are even participants from the countryside — a team from school No. 47. In total, within the framework of the project, we plan to attract more than 300 athlete participants, and Thanks to the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Government of Sevastopol, we hope to reach even more people as spectators and fans , — says the project manager and chief judge of the competition Maria Dobrydina.
Recall that the Epiphany Frosts competitions were held on 14 «classes» — in addition to division by gender, age and discipline, participants competed in an open class and relay race. The next competitions within the framework of the project «Tourism — sport for all» will be held in April.
