On May 4, in Simferopol, in the park named after Yuri Gagarin, a photo exhibition was opened as part of the All-Russian project «The Hero’s Wife».
This is the first exhibition of the Hero’s Wife project in Crimea. It is dedicated to women whose spouses are defending their Motherland today. The opening was attended by Deputy Head of the City Administration Alexander Semenchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Simferopol City Council Nadezhda Aksyonova, organizers and participants of the project, the public, residents and guests of the city.
Wife and mother are the two closest people, two wings behind the backs of our soldiers. Two women who pray, believe and wait for the return of their heroes. And the guys, meanwhile, are defending our Motherland, our faith, the memory of our grandfathers who fought the fascist evil on this same earth! We want to show that our women are waiting for and loving their spouses, their sons, and we all support them, support the actions of our servicemen, believe in them and are infinitely proud of them.— Anna Mikhailovskaya, one of the organizers of the Hero’s Wife project, notes.
The exposition presents portraits of women in the form of their relatives, which symbolizes protection. Each picture is accompanied by thoughts that the heroines shared in their letters to their husbands and sons.
Today we are opening a photo exhibition of the socially significant project «The Hero’s Wife», a project that we could not stay away from. The head of the administration of Simferopol, Mikhail Afanasiev, and the city council, the public, of course, supported this initiative. Wife and mother are the most important people for our fighters, the guys who are now defending our Motherland are at the forefront. The support of their families is important to them. Therefore, it is a pleasure to open this exhibition today. Thanks to the initiative group and all those who were involved in the preparation of the exhibition— Alexander Semenchenko emphasized.
Recall that the All-Russian project «The Hero’s Wife» appeared in October 2022 in Samara, with the help of the council’s wives Second Guards Combined Arms Red Banner Army and the public cultural and social fund «STAR AND LYRA».
