A project to expand the exemption from duties for the heirs of military personnel was introduced to the State Duma

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A group of deputies and senators submitted to the lower house of parliament a bill on exemption from state duties when registering the inheritance of the heirs of those killed or who died before the expiration of a year after the dismissal from service of military personnel, employees of internal affairs bodies or the National Guard. The document is posted in electronic database data from the lower house of parliament. The document involves introducing amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.

When registering an inheritance, the heirs bear the cost of paying for notary services, as well as when registering the transfer of ownership of real estate from the testator to the heirs — the cost of paying a state fee to the Rosreestr authorities in the amount of 2 thousand rubles for each real estate transaction.

Current legislation provides for the release of heirs of testators — employees of internal affairs bodies, persons who served in the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation and had special ranks of police, military personnel of the National Guard troops, military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation who died in service or who died before the expiration of one year from the date of dismissal from service due to injury (contusion) or illness from paying for notary services when registering an inheritance.

The bill proposes to exempt such heirs from paying the state duty for registration with the Rosreestr authorities of the transaction of transfer of ownership of the testator’s real estate to the heirs on the basis of certificates of the right to inheritance.
