A recruitment of volunteers has started in Sevastopol to vote for improvement projects
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Every year, in each region of Russia, within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” and the national project “Housing and Urban Environment,” a vote is held for public spaces that need to be improved. The national project was initiated by President Vladimir Putin and started in 2019.
During the voting period for improvement projects, volunteers help residents take part in it. Artyom Metelev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, Head of the Association of Volunteer Centers and Platforms, announced the beginning of the recruitment of volunteers to vote this year at the All-Russian Municipal Forum “Small Motherland — the Strength of Russia” DOBRO.RF.
Volunteers help organize the process, involve residents in choosing which facilities need to be improved, changed, and offer to vote. Then volunteers accompany this process and control the quality of implementation of the plan. Those who are interested in the topic of urbanism and the urban environment go further, teams of urban specialists are formed, public events and discussions are held, society works together with the authorities so that these objects continue to exist. I am sure that this year a large number of people who want their village or city to become better will show civic initiative and sign up as volunteers.,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Artyom Metelev.
Any Russian over 14 years of age can become a volunteer. To do this you need to register on the platform DOBRO.RF in the section “Voting for Improvement 2024”. Main selection criteria: willingness to take part in the project, communication skills, stress resistance.
