The Museum of Crimea is almost completed in New Chersonesus

Military builders, reports «Sevastopol newspaper», they are already landscaping the area near the Crimean Museum and installing fountains. Currently, 110 people work at the facility, which is part of the historical and archaeological park “Chersonese Tauride”.

In the Museum of Crimea, all facade work has been completed in full, and most of the finishing work has been completed. At the moment we are laying marble on the floor and working on the installation of architectural and artistic lighting for the building and the installation of fountains, — notes military engineer Andrei Yevtushenko.

The Military Construction Company posted a video on its website showing the high readiness of the facility. According to A. Yevtushenko, the surrounding area will be paved with granite paving stones. And more than two thousand plants will be planted in the flower beds near the Crimean Museum alone. By the way, the museum will also be illuminated at night — the light will be unobtrusive and dim. The building will look luxurious both outside and inside.

Exclusive design solutions were developed by Sretensky architectural workshops. For example, the unique design of the museum ceiling, the combination of aluminum and paint in the wall decoration, and the marble floor. A new landmark of Crimea will appear here soonnotes Andrey Yevtushenko.

The four-story Museum of Crimea occupies about 12 thousand square meters of area. The building will house eight exhibition spaces. There will be a panoramic cinema, a media room and an immersion hall.

In parallel with the Museum of Crimea, builders are building a museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, an amphitheater, craft workshops, scientific, educational and youth centers. The centers are almost ready for commissioning. Work on the entire complex will be completed this year.

Director of the Foundation for the Support of Humanities “My History” Ivan Yesin said at the exhibition “Russia” that the historical and archaeological complex has no analogues in the country and only a few complexes in the world can be compared with what will be created in Sevastopol. At the same time, the park will provide a large number of jobs for specialists from various fields.

The construction of all New Chersonese facilities should be completed in 2024.
