A regional capital repair program is being implemented in Sevastopol — how is the process progressing?

In Sevastopol, work continues on major repairs of roofs in apartment buildings. Today, the director of the Fund for Assistance to Major Repairs, Dmitry Shpagin, accepted the work completed in the house on Batumskaya Street, 33, and also checked the progress of work on Lenin Street, 22.

On Batumskaya the work has already been completed, the roof is membrane and reliable. Construction and installation work began in June and was completed ahead of schedule in September. Work on Lenin, 22 began in September, and today the readiness is 20%. The roof here is gable, after repairs it will be seam. Notre Dame Cathedral and the Hermitage were once covered using this technology.– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Dmitry Shpagin.

As part of the roof repair on Batumskaya Street, we carried out partial dismantling of the existing roof covering, repair of the screed, installation of a drainage system and membrane roof covering, replacement of pipe supports, installation of roof fencing and walkways, installation of drainpipes and replacement of the roof exit hatch with a fireproof one.

The roof in the house on Lenin Street is planned to be repaired by December; the covering has already been dismantled and small coverings and sheet steel linings have been dismantled; the existing wooden roof elements have been cleaned, treated with fire-retardant compounds, and a superdiffusion membrane and sheathing have been installed.

Let us remind you that in Sevastopol a regional capital repair program is being actively implemented, within the framework of which facades, basements, internal utility networks, elevator equipment and roofs of apartment buildings are being repaired. In 2023, 118 roofs will be repaired under the capital repair program in Sevastopol.
