A resident of Bakhchisarai proved the fact of living in besieged Leningrad — court decision
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Bakhchisaray District Court of the Republic of Crimea satisfied the demands of the Bakhchisaray District Prosecutor, who filed a statement in the interests of a resident of the city of Bakhchisaray born in 1936, to establish the fact of residence in besieged Leningrad.
The materials of the civil case established that in the period from September 1941 to February 1942, Gennady Ivanovich lived in Leningrad. Gennady Ivanovich gave his explanations at the court hearing, in which he spoke about the horrors of that time that he had to endure as a young child. Left without parental care, as a little boy Gennady Ivanovich ended up in an orphanage, whose pupils were evacuated from besieged Leningrad. Archival information and personal explanations of the applicant became the basis for confirming the fact of his residence in the practically destroyed city, — the press service of the court reported.
The decision will enter into legal force upon expiration of the appeal period.
