A rooster “settled” again on the house at the entrance to Pioneer Park

A sculpture of a rooster reappeared on the house at the entrance to Pioneer Park, which was removed about six months ago, as it could not withstand the sudden changes in the weather.

All this time, our wonderful Yalta artist Sergey Novoselov has been working on the creation of a new cockerel — now it is reliable, made of iron and has taken its place of honor! I thank the artist and everyone who keeps such touching moments in the history of our city , — wrote the head of the administration of Yalta, Yanina Pavlenko, in her telegram channel.

As the Yalta local historian Larisa Lysova noted, the famous “cockerel” has been destroyed many times over the history of its existence. During the Great Patriotic War, the invaders smashed it, using it as a target for firing from pistols, and then it was destroyed more than once by the influence of adverse weather conditions. But the figure was restored each time and placed on the roof again.
