A specialist expert from the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on migration issues will be tried in Sevastopol

Illegally registered 111 (!) foreign citizens with migration registration.

In Sevastopol, a criminal investigation has been completed against a specialist-expert of the migration department of the Department of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district. The woman is accused of abuse of power and fictitious registration of foreign citizens (Part 1 of Article 285, Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The Sevastopol Interdistrict Investigation Department established that from April to September 2022, a specialist illegally registered 111 foreign citizens at the place of their stay in non-residential premises.

Facts of illegal activities of an official and illegal stay of foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation were revealed during a prosecutor’s inspection in cooperation with employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol— reported in Sledkom.

The criminal investigation has now been completed. The accused did not admit guilt in committing the crime, however, it is confirmed by the results of inspections of the crime scene and documents, testimony of witnesses given during interrogations and other evidence.

The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, approving the indictment and sending the case to court.
