A sports festival was held in Sevastopol, dedicating it to the closing of the schoolchildren's Spartakiad

On the territory of the new sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol, a sports festival was held dedicated to the closing of the schoolchildren’s sports day for the 2023-2024 academic year as part of the celebration of the All-Russian Olympic Day.

I would like to thank all the educational organizations of our city that have been taking part in the Spartakiad for several years now — this has already become a good tradition. Interest in a healthy lifestyle is formed from childhood, so it is very important that our children take part in sports activities– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Deputy Governor Igor Mikheev.

The event program included passing GTO standards, master classes on jumping, first aid, as well as master classes on boxing, MMA and breaking.

The main event was the solemn awarding of the winners and prize-winners of the City Spartakiad for schoolchildren of the city of Sevastopol. From September 2023 to May 2024, a sports competition for schoolchildren among general education organizations was held, the program of which included 13 physical education and sports events, which are all-Russian projects and are carried out in several stages: school, municipal, regional. 61 educational organizations from 63 government institutions of the city took part in the sports competition. The total coverage of the school stages of the Spartakiad was more than 18,000 schoolchildren, the regional stages — 5,819 and the regional stages — 804 schoolchildren.

Friends, summer is already beginning. I really want to wish you guys that during the summer you will engage in physical education at our sports facilities and take an active part in our events. We were pleased to note the real leaders who competed in 13 sports competitions throughout the school year and deservedly received the title of the best educational organizations based on the results of the schoolchildren’s sports competition, which is held on behalf of the governor. The 2024-2025 season promises to be even more interesting! We will definitely take into account all your suggestions regarding organizing the competition. I wish you to gain strength during the holiday period and next season to participate in the Schoolchildren’s Spartakiad with even greater zeal!,” notes the head of the sports department, Sergei Reznichenko.

The main, leading projects of the Spartakiad are the All-Russian sports competitions for schoolchildren “Presidential Competitions” and the All-Russian sports games for schoolchildren “Presidential Sports Games”.

According to the results of the regional stage of the Presidential competition, school No. 13 named after A.I. took 1st place among rural class teams. Pokryshkina;

2nd place – school No. 20;

3rd place – school No. 46.

Among the city classes-teams:

1st place – school No. 3 named after Alexander Nevsky;

2nd place – school No. 32 named after L.V. Bobkova;

3rd place – school “Ecotech+”.

In the overall team competition, following the results of the regional stage of the Presidential Sports Games, gymnasium No. 7 named after V.I. took 1st place. Great;

2nd place – school No. 3 named after Alexander Nevsky;

3rd place – gymnasium No. 24.
