A unique international paramarathon “Scythian Coast” was held in Saki

On June 12, Russia Day, on the territory of the specialized spinal sanatorium named after academician N.N. Burdenko in the city of Saki, the traditional XXII International Athletics Marathon among athletes of adaptive wheelchair sports “Scythian Coast” was held.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Efim Fiks, who was present at the opening of the sports festival, addressed the paramarathon runners with a welcoming speech. He thanked the organizers and participants of the unique event for their concern for sports, expressing admiration for their desire to always be in action.
The competition of adaptive sports athletes evokes feelings of respect and pride and serves as an example to all of us of courage, perseverance and fortitude. All these qualities are inherent in real Russians, patriots of their country. You show the steely character of a Russian person who cannot be broken by any adversity. We are Russians, we overcome any difficulties with dignity and always remain winnerssaid Efim Fix.
Following the results of the marathon, the first vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament presented the winners with well-deserved awards and wished all participants good luck in conquering new sporting peaks.
