Acceptance of applications for inclusion in the register of social entrepreneurs began in Sevastopol

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Sevastopol can apply for inclusion in the register of social entrepreneurs. This status allows you to apply for additional support, including grants in the amount of 100 to 500 thousand rubles. Documents for obtaining the status of a social enterprise are accepted until December 31, 2023.

Having the status of a social enterprise makes it possible to take advantage of state support measures for small and medium-sized businesses engaged in social entrepreneurship. Support measures are provided in four areas: financial support in the form of grants up to 500 thousand, guarantees and guarantees, microloans and information and consulting support— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development Alexei Popov.

Enterprises whose activities are aimed at achieving socially useful goals and contributing to the solution of social problems of citizens and society can claim the status of a social enterprise. A prerequisite for entry into the register is the registration of a business in the territory of Sevastopol.

In addition, from 2022, persons with disabilities operating as individual entrepreneurs without employees can be included in the register.

Entrepreneurs who are already on the register — there are 18 of them in Sevastopol — must annually confirm their status. The application can be submitted until May 1, 2023.

Small and medium-sized businesses wishing to obtain or confirm the status of a social enterprise must provide a package of documents in accordance with the category.
