Over the past week, traffic police officers have identified 572 administrative offenses, including 44 the driver was driving while intoxicated, 11 of which repeatedly, for which criminal liability is provided, 45 the driver violated the rules for driving a pedestrian crossing, 14 drove into the oncoming lane in violation of traffic rules , — said the State traffic inspectorate of Sevastopol.

In the coming week, traffic inspectors will carry out preventive measures «Bachus», «Carrier», «Defaulter», «Pedestrian crossing» and «Crossroads».

Since the beginning of the year, there has been 21 an accident on the roads of Sevastopol involving motorized transport drivers, in which 1 person died and 42 injured. Last week alone, 4 drivers of two-wheeled vehicles became involved in traffic accidents, in one of which the driver did not have the right to drive and was without a motorcycle helmet , the traffic police noted.

The State traffic inspectorate recalls that persons who have reached 16 years old, who have been trained in a driving school and have passed exams in the traffic police for category M can drive mopeds (scooters). Exactly the same requirements exist for obtaining category A1. A motorcycle can be driven by persons who have reached 18 years, who have completed training at a driving school and who have passed exams in the traffic police for category A. In the absence of documents giving the right to drive, children and two-wheelers are prohibited by law.

The State Traffic Inspectorate of the city of Sevastopol urges parents not to purchase such a dangerous type of transport for children as a moped or scooter, the management of which without knowledge of traffic rules and driving skills can lead to tragedy.
