Ecotourism is being developed in the forests of Sevastopol

On the territory of the Sevastopol forestry there are about 20 publicly accessible recreation areas for the development of ecotourism. Part of these territories is assigned to the directorate of protected areas and forestry, and the users of five more sites will be determined by the auction. Yulia Gavrilova, head of Sevprirodnadzor, spoke about this at a staff meeting chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. According to her, both a public institution and a private one can carry out activities in such territories. The main condition is compliance with environmental legislation.

Before an economic entity starts using this area, it needs to develop a forest development project, which will be examined by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. In fact, the territories remain forested and publicly accessible to residents, that is, it is forbidden to fence off the plots. Activities should be carried out taking into account the requirements of the Forest Code and the provisions on specially protected areas, if the site is located within such boundaries , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Yulia Gavrilova.

Following the results of the auction, the economic entity will be able to develop green tourism in the territories of the Sevastopol forestry, place tent camps.

Also, the organization will monitor the cleanliness, take out the garbage. At the end of the season, the entire area will be cleaned and nature will remain untouched. We put up for auction only those territories that were identified in terms of the development of ecological tourism in the region , — notes the head of Sevprirodnadzor.

Four territories of the Orlinovskoye forestry and one of the Mekenzievskoye forestry are presented for the auction for the sale of the right to conclude lease agreements for forest plots with the possibility of further camping / glamping.

Recall that three areas of public recreation are assigned to the Directorate of Protected Areas and Forestry: «Fig», «Uchkuevka» and «Turkish Polyana».
