Aircraft of the Southern Military District made training flights in difficult meteorological conditions

The crews of the Su-27SM3 and Su-30M2 fighters of the Southern Military District (SMD) flew in difficult meteorological conditions. According to the press service of the district, the pilots performed training tasks in low overcast, limited visibility and various precipitation. They practiced taking off and landing, escorting and forcing the landing of an intruder aircraft, as well as air combat with missile attacks on air and ground targets.

Crews of multi-role fighters completed the elements of complex aerobatics, air navigation, piloting along a given route and evading the means of destruction of a mock enemy , the press service of the Southern Military District said.

In total, about 10 fighters were involved in training flights.
