The head of the administration of Simferopol, Mikhail Afanasyev, thanked the municipal services for their work and calls on citizens to be understanding so as not to create difficulties in the work to eliminate the consequences of bad weather.

Municipal services of Simferopol are working hard to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. The situation is complicated by weather conditions: snow is constantly falling. Nevertheless, all applications received by EDDS, social networks of the city administration, as well as in personal messages to me, will be processed.

I ask Simferopol residents to be understanding. You should not leave home unless absolutely necessary, go to the city by personal transport, or park cars on the streets so as not to interfere with the work to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather.

It is emphasized that all the forces of city utilities are involved in eliminating the consequences of bad weather.

The number of trees felled by strong winds has already reached a hundred. Specialists from the Municipal Budgetary Institution «Capital Parks» are currently cleaning up branches and trees fallen by the squally wind, cutting and removing logging residues.

There is still no electricity in a number of microdistricts and suburbs of Simferopol, but employees of Krymenergo and the municipal budgetary institution Gorsvet are eliminating the consequences of short circuits.

The City Municipal Budgetary Institution has currently treated about 120 kilometers of roadway with de-icing material. There will be 12 combined road vehicles on duty at night.
