Almost a cinematic story: a man was kidnapped in Sevastopol — they “knocked out” money

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Sevastopol police received information that a group of unknown persons abducted a man and is holding him against his will.

It is preliminary established that four students of one of the Sevastopol universities aged 19 to 22 years old, in order to earn money on bets in bookmakers, turned to a 32-year-old local resident who earned his living in this way, and he promised to provide them with a big win. Having reached an agreement, the young people gave him 65 thousand rubles, but the man’s bet on a sports match lost. Wanting to return the money spent, the suspects forced the capper to get into the car with threats, took him outside the city, where they beat him and forced him to write a receipt for the return of 500 thousand rubles, which, in their opinion, they should have received if they won. Fearing for his life, the man wrote an IOU. This was not enough for the kidnappers: they took the victim to one of the shopping centers and demanded that they take a loan from a microfinance organization in their favor.— announced the details of the story in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

As a result of the measures taken, employees of the criminal investigation department and the patrol service of the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district detained all the suspects and released the victim.

Currently, the materials collected by the police have been sent to the investigating authorities of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol to make a procedural decision on the grounds of a crime under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
