Already this evening, a “hunt” for drunk drivers will begin on the roads of Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Operation Drunk Driver will continue through the weekend.

From November 24 to 26, on the roads of Crimea, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate are conducting an operational and preventive event “Drunk Driver”. Drivers can expect massive and sudden checks.

When conducting raids, traffic police inspectors, along with the usual performance of duty, will use the so-called “mass inspection” method, the essence of which is to check the maximum number of drivers on a specific section of the road for a certain period of time, then move to other points and repeat the procedure— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The Office of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea reminds drivers that for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for failure by the driver to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount 30,000 rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. For repeated commission of the above offenses within a year, criminal liability is provided under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
