An attempted terrorist attack against a serviceman was stopped in Sevastopol

An attempt to commit a terrorist act against a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces was stopped in Sevastopol. According to the regional department of the FSB, on instructions from the Ukrainian special service, a resident of Sevastopol planned to carry out an explosion in the entrance of a residential building.

The Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol stopped an attempt to commit a terrorist act against a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces. Criminal cases have been initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to commit a terrorist act) and Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of explosive devices). The defendant cooperates with the investigation and gives confessions about his work for the Ukrainian intelligence services.it says in the message.

It was established that a 30-year-old resident of Sevastopol, on instructions from the Ukrainian special service, removed from a cache a radio-controlled homemade high-explosive explosive device containing a foreign-made plastic explosive weighing about 630 g, an electric detonator, a transmitter and a receiver of a radio-controlled actuator. The man planned to blow up a serviceman identified by the SBU curator as he entered the entrance of a residential building. To do this, a resident of Sevastopol placed an explosive device on a gas pipe near the entrance door, after which he was detained by FSB officers.

The Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol chose a preventive measure for the terrorist in the form of detention.
