An exhibition dedicated to the history and formation of the deposit insurance system was presented at KFU

The educational event took place at the KFU site. V.I.Vernadsky. Initially, the exhibition “20 years of the deposit insurance system” opened in the State Duma of the Russian Federation and thereby launched a program of awareness-raising events planned in eight constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The goal of the project is to improve the financial literacy and culture of young people.
After being exhibited in the State Duma over the past year and this year, the exposition is presented in the country’s leading universities and is accompanied by lectures for students. And today the exhibition opened in the Crimean capital in one of the best universities in Russia — the Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, — the press service quotes the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.
The exhibition tells about the prerequisites for the emergence of the deposit insurance system, the stages of its formation and operating parameters. The stands contain useful information aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy of young people.
As part of the event, Andrei Melnikov gave a lecture “History of the Russian deposit insurance system.
Also, as part of the event, Irina Kiviko was awarded a DIA commemorative badge, issued for the 20th anniversary of the deposit insurance system.
The deposit insurance system solves the most important social problem — it provides protection for the majority of Russian depositors. Thanks to the deposit insurance system, citizens can safely store their funds in credit institutions. As a result, the resource potential of our banking sector is strengthening,” summed up Irina Kiviko.
