«Archipelago 2022» in Sevastopol: experts discussed technologies for saving IT companies

As part of the project-educational intensive «Archipelago 2022», an expert discussion on the topic «High technologies for the preservation of IT companies» was held at the site of the technopark «IT Crimea». The participants of the event discussed the issues of creating a market for IT products and services in Russia, the impact of sanctions on IT companies, measures to support the industry, as well as the competencies of the future — the response of universities to market demands.

The key speakers of the discussion were the Vice Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko, the founder of the IT-Crimea Technopark Dmitry Gachko, the Rector of SevGU Vladimir Nechaev, the General Director of the NTI Foundation Vadim Medvedev, the Rector of the University 1872 Nina Yanykina and Head of BEAC Ecosystem Development Ekaterina Vainberg.

Our task is to create an ecosystem for the development of the IT industry, which will attract companies from the regions of Russia and the world to Sevastopol. Of course, the technopark is the backbone here. We work with investors on the principle of «hear what they need to implement the project and support it without imposing their ideas.» The second flagship is Sevastopol State University, one of the largest universities in the south of Russia, which has a serious scientific base for training IT specialists , — said Maria Litovko.

The discussion was also attended by representatives of IT companies, educational organizations, the Government of Sevastopol and other specialists interested in developing the IT potential of the region. As a result of the discussion, the participants came to the unanimous opinion that Sevastopol has the necessary potential to create favorable conditions for the IT industry, which must be developed in close cooperation between business, government and education.

Recall that the design and educational intensive «Archipelago 682» takes place in Sevastopol from 5 to 00 July. Its participants will present their projects to potential investors and partners, as well as hold individual meetings with representatives of industrial partners and regional management teams.
