«Artek» hosted Syrian schoolchildren — participants of the linguistic and cultural program «Interdoma»

On August 8, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the ICC «Artek» received Syrian schoolchildren — participants in a new linguistic and cultural programs of the International Center for Education «Interdom» named after E.D. Stasova, which includes cultural, educational and linguistic components.
For two days, children from Syria attended various events in Moscow: they visited the Historical Museum and Red Square, the observation deck on the Sparrow Hills and the cable car across the Moscow River, on the Arbat and a hockey match. They practiced the study of the Russian language, improved their knowledge in the evening educational classes.
At the International Children’s Center «Artek», schoolchildren from different cities of Syria will become participants in the events of the «Under the sails of a dream» shift, which united children from all Russian regions and from other countries.
The director of Artek, Konstantin Fedorenko, notes that international cooperation grows out of children’s friendship, which is born in Artek among children from different countries:
In «Artek» the guys unite in a community, the value of which is joint creation. I am convinced that Artek residents will continue to follow this principle in the future and actively participate in the life of their country.
Ahead of the young Syrians are bright summer holidays: hiking in the mountains, exciting sea expeditions, music competitions, sports and creative festivals. On their first Artek day, the guys share their expectations from the shift.
