As it should be, on holidays… Today, Operation Drunk Driver begins in Crimea

Fans of “hot” corporate events should take note.

In Crimea, from March 7 to 10, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate are conducting an operational and preventive event “Drunk Driver”. This was reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

When conducting raids, traffic police inspectors, along with the usual performance of duty, will use the so-called “mass inspection” method, the essence of which is to check the maximum number of drivers on a specific section of the road for a certain period of time, then move to other points and repeat the procedurethe message says.

As they say, prepare for mass checks! Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will stop cars in predetermined places in special stopping corridors marked with signal cones.

Traffic inspectors will assess the condition of each driver based on visual signs. If there are no signs of intoxication (smell of alcohol, inappropriate behavior, incoherent speech, etc.), drivers will be immediately allowed to continue driving. If there are sufficient grounds to believe that the driver is drunk, the prescribed procedural actions will be carried out,” the traffic police clarified.

The Office of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea reminds drivers that for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for failure by the driver to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount 30,000 rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. For repeated commission of the above offenses within a year, criminal liability is provided under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
